BALLINA PS 2-02 Thomastown NS 0-07

Played at Leahy Park, Cashel on Friday 17th November 2017

It all started off when Billy and Luke went in for the throw-in. A few minutes in, Ballina won a free just outside the area. Charlie took the free and put it in the back of the net. Thomastown scored three points and Billy scored one for Ballina. At half-time the score was 1-01 to 0-03.

When both teams came back on to the pitch, Billy and Luke went in for the throw-in once again. During the second-half, Charlie scored another goal and Luke scored a point. Thomastown replied with four points.

Coming to the end of the match, Thomastown got an indirect free. The free-taker hit it wide and the referee let him take it again. He passed it out wide and the player took a shot. It hit the crossbar and Joe made an amazing save and kicked it away for the referee to blow the final whistle. The final score was 2-02 to 0-07.

Ballina are now County Champions 2017.

Joe Finn, Seán Fahy, Darragh Ryan, Adam McKeogh, Billy Collins, Charlie Grace, Paddy Dowling, Glen Elliot, Luke Power, Jude Mulrennan, Alex Quinn, Ruadhán O’Callaghan, Mark Geary.
