It's wonderful to see such community spirit in Ballina, these group workouts took place in 2 different estates. Great to see adults and children getting involved, well done everyone! Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in 'Active at home week'. Lots of effort was put in and we are so delighted to see ye are all staying active and enjoying the sunshine.
A big thank you and well done to all those who completed and sent their Active At Home Week charts, here a few of the ones we received.
Aoife McLoughney, Tipperary Camogie and past pupil, has set an 'accuracy' challenge. You will see Aoife uses a water bottle as a target, but use whatever you have at home. Can you hit it first time? Keep practising, Aoife did not tell us how many times she had to try before getting it right!! Thanks Aoife for setting a challenge. Muinteoir Michelle showing us some great camogie skills. Continue to practice striking and catching. "Let's not sit, get up and get fit!" Muinteoir Maire with chair sits. An exercise that can be done inside and outside. Make a challenge out of it and bring in Maths (counting and time!) Get the family involved - how many chair sits can you do in 1 minute? Muinteoir Ciara with a difficult challenge - How many burpees can you do in 1 minute? Muinteoir Ciara got 22, can you beat that??? Muinteoir Paul displaying some impressive ball skills. How many keepie-upies can you do? Muinteoir Michelle N with exercises that will definitely get you fit! Keep count of how many of each you can do. How many Jumping Jacks/Star Jumps can you do in 1 minute? |
