Rang 6 were fortunate to participate in the second year of a local interschools rugby blitz hosted in Clarisford, home to Ballina/Killaloe RFC. Our partnership with Munster rugby culminated in a terrific day of mixed tag rugby. Our pupils enjoyed it no end! Our female referees aided by Nathan our coach supported and guided us throughout. Go raibh míle!

We are delighted to resume our partnership with Cycle Right Ireland again this year. Thankfully no monsoon showers so far so good. Terrific instruction from Natasha and Richard. We are gaining in confidence and cycling skills each week. Ar do rothar a chairde!

Our handball wall was painted during the Easter holidays! Let the games begin! 

We are delighted to bring you details of an exciting partnership with our friends at Liftserv; Edward, Eoin and Thomas who have kindly sponsored and installed a new handball wall for the pupils in Ballina Primary School. They were ably assisted by Joe, a local tradesman. Plans were set in motion last October in consultation with Ballina Handball representatives, school staff and Liftserv members. The wall was installed over the February Midterm. Many hands make light work! The team were supported by members of Ballina Handball Club, our caretaker Mark, Danny a local carpenter, David who looked after the electrical work, and staff members who popped in to help with the clean up. We are so grateful to everyone for their generosity, work ethic and team spirit. I ndiaidh a chéile a thógtar na caisleáin! We are looking forward to the finished article in the months to come. The wall adds a new dimension to our games in Ballina Primary School. Ar aghaidh linn!

A very enjoyable walkabout in the Ballina environs was had by all our pupils and staff today. Míle buíochas to our parent volunteers who provided assistance and encouragement along the different routes.

A huge word of congratulations to pupils and teachers who braved the elements in a rain sodden Thurles for the Cross Country Championships recently. Team spirit and camaraderie on display!

Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí! We are so fortunate with a talented and enthusiastic Parent's Association who organised our annual sports day. Amid monsoon showers our pupils participated in shuttle runs, obstacle courses, hanging tough, tug of war, blindfolded tasks and lots, lots more. Laughter, fun and high spirits. Active all the way!
