30/5/2024

A leithéid do lá a bhí againn! A huge go raibh míle to our handball partners in Modh Scoil Luimní and Ballina Handball for a return visit to Ballina Handball headquarters. Our supporters were greatly impressed. Epic battles fought indoors and outdoors. We look forward to a continuance of our partnership with our friends at Ballina Handball and in the Modh Scoil. An rud is annamh is iontach!

Inter-schools Rugby Blitz

23/5/2024

I ndiaidh a chéile a thógtar na caisleáin! Good things come to those who wait! After much scheduling and rescheduling headaches, a terrific interschools blitz was held between local schools with our friends and partners at Munster Rugby and Ballina Killaloe RFC. We are already looking forward next year to the rematches and rekindling some local rivalry!

Bhain na Ranganna 6 agus 4 úsáid iontach as an gcúirt leadóg láimhe i mBéal an Átha, le linn na míosa. We are very grateful to the Ballina Handball Club, for the kind use of their facilities. We look forward to other classes availing of the opportunity to acquire new skills and develop an appreciation for another of our national Gaelic sports, in the coming months.

We were delighted to host Marguerite Gore from Handball Ireland, to provide CPD training for teachers and S.N.S's in Ballina P.S, on Nov 20th. We had an active fun-filled session, learning new skills and participating in handball activities. Marguerite supplied our staff with valuable learning ideas, to incorporate handball in our P.E and Active Flag plans for the coming year. Míle buíochas ag gabháil léi agus leis an gClub Liathróid Láimhe i mBéal an Átha for use of their facilities.
