We are having a terrific fortnight celebrating Active Schools. Take a look at some of our activities. Our Sports Day was a huge success. Go raibh míle to our Parents Association for organising this whole school fun event. A word of thanks to our partners in Ballina GAA for use of their facilities, local Gardaí for assisting with some activities and the many parent volunteers who gave up their time to support and cheer us on!

Our Playground Leaders and Active Committee members in Rang 6 hosted Rang 1 and Rang 2 for a hurling blitz. Not only did they coach, these children managed, refereed, umpired, and set up for the younger pupils in Ballina GAA grounds. Huge credit to Múinteoir Eoin in Rang 3 for setting up the goals and organising the timetable before throw in. Amhrán na bhFiann was played before the blitz. A memorable day for our young pupils.

Our friends in Ballina Handball hosted our classes at various staged throughout the fortnight. Míle buíochas!
