6th - Green schools presentation day - What happens to your e-waste?

Pupils from 3rd to 6th came to the Halla to hear the children talk about the problems of E-Waste recycling in the developing world. Each 6th class pupil worked with a partner to present a specific aspect of E-Waste e.g. Mining of metals that are found in mobile phones, viewing the insides of electronic products, health issues associated with burning E-Waste, the four solutions to the E-Waste problem (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Repair). As you can see, great effort was put in and the students can be rightly proud of their achievement. If you would like to find out more about the problem of E-Waste, click on the link 'Designed for the Dump' at the bottom.
