Last Friday fifth class and their buddies in juniors had lots of fun playing hurling, soccer, tag, jumping ropes and other activities.
5th class painted their classroom windows and some doors to help make the place feel more Christmas like.
Kayla, Hayley and Íde painted the front door. Kayla painted the penguin because the penguin is one of her favourite animals. Íde painted the giraffe because she loves drawing giraffes. She put a Christmas hat on it to make it more festive looking. Hayley painted the snowman because it suited the Christmas theme. We think it turned out great. We hope everyone enjoyed it. 5th Class art took on a 'spooky' look this week. We learned about American artist, Tim Burton, and how he creates his interesting style. We worked on sizing, shaping and shading figures to create distorted creatures with exaggerated features. We think they turned out great! Our regular 5th Class students replaced by scary, spooky characters today!
