6th Class pupils are supporting Ballina GAA in their fundraiser for the construction of a ball wall, which will really improve ball handling skills. Children from 4th-6th completed this survey. 6th class collated the results and represented them on a bar chart that was displayed on the active flag notice board. The local soccer and GAA clubs proved most popular but 15 different local clubs were represented, with activities such as tennis, horse-riding, taekwondo, gymnastics, athletics, swimming, rugby and many more available in the local area. Through doing this survey, many pupils became aware of new clubs that they expressed an interest in.
Our Active School Committee organised a poster competition to create and design a slogan for our school. There were some amazing entries, but 'You Don't Need A Prize to Exercise' was the winner. Well done girls!
A big thank you to our dancing teacher Marie for preparing us so well for our Dancing Display. Our Mums, Dads and families were so proud of how much we have learned. Senior Infants have been busy Irish Dancing with our dance teacher Marie. They are practicing every week until Christmas. Some dances are on our own and some with a partner.
