All About Animals in November!

November was our month to learn all about different animals, their homes and animals that are pets compared to animals that are not! This was good fun and we learned about lots of different subjects through our theme. Take a look at what we got up to.

​Animal Homes and Habitats:
We learned about different animals and where they could be found. We explored their homes and what materials we might find in their homes. For messy play, we used straw, water and clay to make different habitats for different animals. 

Baking Butterfly Buns!
​We used our sorting and measuring skills to figure out what ingredients we would need to make Butterfly Buns. When we had everything we needed, we measured the ingredients into our mixing bowl and mixed them together. When the buns were finished, we decorated them with jam and cream, and gave them their butterfly wings.

Surprise Visitor!
We were so excited when we got a surprise visitor to our class for a couple of days during the month. Gosia brought in her hamster for us to take care of and we loved every minute of it! We hope he calls again soon.
