Minibeast Explorers - Back to school Fun!

We are delighted to be back in school after spending the last couple of weeks learning from home. We spent our first couple of weeks learning all about minibeasts, as part of our 'Spring' theme. We were very busy. Have a look at what we got up to.

Minibeast Hunt:
We went hunting for minibeasts around the school. We had to look very closely because they were hiding! We found lots of creepy-crawlies, like spiders, snails, flies and worms.

Sorting:
We tried to figure out which minibeasts had legs and which minibeasts had no legs. We learned about what the different creatures looked like and then had to cut their pictures out and stick them on the right leaf - one for those with legs and one for those without.

​Art & Messy Play:
​We painted some beautiful minibeast pictures to display in our classroom. We also tried to create our own worms during messy play time. This was fun and sticky and slimy! 

We celebrated some birthdays since we came back too. It was a lot of fun! We wore the birthday hat and had some yummy treats!
