October in BPS!

October was a fun, but busy, month! We learned all about Autumn and Halloween.

Messy Play
We made some pumpkin spice playdoh during messy play in October. We used flour, oil and lots of spices to learn more about pumpkins and their colours. It was very messy!

Autumn
We learned about autumn leaves and their colours. We went on an autumn leaf hunt around the school and found lots of red, yellow, brown and orange leaves. We made some autumn art using our leaves.

Writing
We made a character profile all about our scary witch - Lucy the Witch!
She likes cats, brooms and frogs.
She doesn't like dragons, monsters or mushrooms!

Fancy Dress Fun
On the day of the Midterm Break, we dressed up in our Halloween costumes, did some Halloween art and played some Halloween games - look how scary we were!

​Pumpkin Carving
We even learned about how to carve pumpkins for Halloween, and saw all the yucky insides of a pumpkin! It was a lot of fun.
