September in juniors 1

Juniors have settled so well into big school and we have been very busy! 

​Gymnastics 
We have been learning different types of rolls; pencil roll, forwards roll, sideways roll and balancing on balance beams.

​Funky fingers! 
We have been doing lots of activities to help make our hands strong before we learn to write; using pegs, cutting cardboard and paper, threading boards, scribbling, using playdough, using tweezers to sort pom poms and making shapes in rainbow rice. 

​Maths activities and jigsaws
Sorting for colours, matching socks, going on colour walks around the school and working together to make jigsaws.

Painting 
Our colour of the week was yellow so we painted Sunflowers inspired by Van Gogh!
